This was an interesting week at the Grinders arena as there were two blowouts, and one really close game. To start the festivities, the depleted 38 1/2 Minutes of Hell took on The Academy. 38 1/2 Minutes were without their two best players (Jeff & Eric), as there were down south in Miami for the weekend. Without those two player, that team fell apart, losing bad 27-15. Reed shot a miserable 0/19, and added 7 turnovers to post the worst game we have seen at Grinders since Keith "The Trailer" Smith was turning the ball over and missing shots like it was his job. Kyle was a bright spot for 38 1/2 Minutes as he had 5pts, 3sts, 10rbs, 4stls. We may never, ever see that kind of game out of him again. The Academy got a good game from Tim (6pts, 6rbs), Swain (5pts, 4st, 10rbs) and Mike (7asts, 9rbs, 3stls). It should be noted that Witt had a monster block on Kyle that almost put the ball through the wall. The middle game was also over early. Head of Steam took it to Bricklayers 2.0 winning by a score of 32-15. head of Steam was powered by Scott (11pts, 5asts, 5rbs, 5stls) and Nate. Nate had a monsters stat line (7pts, 3asts, 11rebs, 7blks) and he played amazing defense on Sean, holding him to a season low in rebounds and points. The Bricklayers , in their defense were with out Perreault, who is second on the team in scoring. Paul and Sean combined for 8pts, 9rbs for the Bricklayers. The evening game was by far the most competitive game as The Revolution fought of a late charge by the After School Specials to hold on to a 24-23 victory. The revolution got a great game out of Hearn who contributed with 7pts, 5asts, 19rbs, 1blk, 4ast. Simon also was his usual self with 8pts, 4asts, 8rbs, 2blks. Vinny also has 7pts. Poke by far was the main reason that The After School Specials stayed in the game. he had 13pts, 4asts, 16rbs, 3stls, but in the end, it was not enough. Good luck to all in Week 6.
