Week 7 has come and gone and it was eventful. The opening game, was between The Revolution and The Academy and first place was on the line. The Revolution had a strong first half, never relinquishing the lead. However, The Academy hung in the game, and pulled ahead in the second half, winning 24-17 and holding on to first place. Simon and Hearn led the Revolution. Simon finished with 6pts, 4ast, 5rbs, and Hearn added 6pts,9rbs. Defense was the story for the Academy, as every guy on the floor played solid defensively. Mike had his second great game in a row, with 7pts, 3ast, 3rbs. He is really starting to come in to his own this season. Swain was strong on the boards for the Academy, pulling down ten. The middle game was actually close then the opened. Bricklayers 2.0 was able to hold on to a lead against 38 1/2 Minutes of Hell, and win 30-26. Benson was the story in the game for the Bricklayers 2.0. He by far had his best game of his career with 11pts, 10rbs, 5stls. He was the difference in this game. Shawn also had a big game with 5pts, 6asts, 10rbs, 4blks. Snickers has a season high 3pts in this affair. Eric and Jeff lead the way for 38 1/2 Minutes, keeping them in the game for most of the second half. Eric ended up with 11pts, 6rbs, and Jeff had 8pts, 5ast, 11rbs, 3blks, proving that there is no sophomore slump. The night cap had a depleted Head of Steam go against The After School Specials. The After School Specials won this game 23-20. Specials got a great game from Poke, who had 4pts, 8asts, 22rbs, 1blk, 4stls. Al chipped in with 7pts, 6rbs. Nate did all he could for his team, with 8pts 3asts, 18rbs, 4blks. May also contributed to the cause with 8pts, 6ast, 9rbs, 1blk.
