Week one of the spring edition is in the books and it was a good one. To start off this sessions, the NT Parolees took on Team 4:20's. Parolees won this contest 27-24, but 4:20's lost more then just the game. There number one pick Sean went down with a season ending achilles injury. This is a tough lose for the 420's and one member of their team was quoted as saying "This is like Tom Brady going down in Week 1". Dennis and Perreault did all they could to keep their team in it. Dennis over came a rough start to end with 8pts, 5ast, 12rbs. Perreault also had 8pts, 5ast, 6rbs. Eric lead the way for the Parolees with 13pts, 4asts, 8rbs, 2stl. The twin towers (Justin and Nate) also helped out with a combined 13 pts, 28rbs and 2blks. The middle game featured And The Time against A.S.S. Syndicated. This was a tight game throughout but Syndicated pulled away in the end with a 21-19 victory. Simon had 8pts for Syndicated while Al chipped in with 5pts, and Poke pulled down 18rbs. Jeff and Hearn where the bright spots for And The Time. Jeff had 8pts, 9rbs, while Hearn had 5pts, 14rbs. The nightcap of Week 1 pitted Head of Steam against The Academy. Head of Steam was in control of this game from the get go, and won convincingly 28-19. Steam got solid play from their entire team, but were lead by Witt and Zach. Witt finished with 13pts, 8rbs, 3stls, 2ast and Zach had 6pts, 10rbs, 2asts. Despite the lopsided score, The Academy played well. Mike had 6pts, Lou had 6pts, 16rbs while Swain had 6pts, 13rbs. Besides the injury to Sean, Week 1 went off with out a hitch. Good luck to all.
